A Safe & Long-Lasting Approach to Breast Reduction, Breast Lift and Breast Augmentation
In the past four years Dr.
Stevens and Dr. Stoker have performed hundreds of Stevens Laser Bra surgeries. They and their patients remain incredibly impressed with the longevity of the postoperative results and the "perkiness" of the breasts. The procedure generally takes two hours and the swelling and discomfort are minimal. Blood loss and bruising is reduced and recovery time is generally 5-7 days with full activity resumed following three weeks.
For those women who have been concerned about
achieving a natural appearance of the breast or the longevity of their
postoperative results, The Stevens Laser Bra affords
a natural, safe and long lasting approach to breast augmentation and breast reduction surgery. The concept
of The Stevens Laser Bra is a seemingly obvious one.
What woman would not want an internal bra to lift her breasts naturally and
safely?
The surgery is performed under general
anesthesia. Incisions are made horizontally and vertically as with a
traditional breast lift. Excess skin is treated with the laser,
fabricating an internal brassiere. This internal bra is then tacked to the
chest wall and the entire breast and nipple are lifted.

The Method Behind The Stevens Laser Bra
Dr. Grant Stevens developed The Stevens
LIFT, Laser-assisted Internal Fabrication Technique, which utilizes The
Stevens Laser Bra. With the patient in the upright position,
the new position of the nipple is marked. Then, once the patient
is under general anesthetic, incisions are horizontally and vertically
made, adhering to the natural contours of the breast. The laser is
then used to preserve the pedicle of the breast tissue that supports the
nipple. The entire breast, along with the nipple, is lifted.
Excess fat, tissue and skin are removed from each side of the breast.
Once the breast is repositioned, the incisions are closed with
dissolving sutures under the skin.
Dr. Stevens' method minimizes the
possibility of "fallout" of the breast. The shape of the
breast is maintained by creating The Stevens Laser Bra.
This is achieved by using the laser to de-epithelialize the skin that
would have otherwise been discarded, forming a bra out of the patient's
own tissue. This bra is then attached to the chest wall where it
holds and supports the breast. "I have done hundreds of these
procedures and have followed them up to see the results," said Dr.
Stevens. "They have held up beautifully." The
Stevens Laser Bra cannot be seen or felt under the skin.
This procedure does not increase the risk
of surgery. If anything, there probably is less risk in terms of
the anesthesia. 30-40 minutes are saved off a breast reduction
utilizing this laser procedure, so the patient has less time under
anesthesia.
Candidates for The Laser
Bra
Candidates for the laser breast reduction
utilizing The Stevens Laser Bra are women
who have large sagging breasts and is a perfect procedure to add to a Mommy Makeover. Age is not a deciding factor for
this procedure, but patients must be healthy. Because the nipple
is never detached, loss of sensation is minimal and some people report
increased sensation once the heavy tissue has been removed. In
addition, a majority of patients are able to breast feed.
