Robert T. Heck, M.D., F.A.C.S.
A highly dedicated scholar, Dr. Robert Heck is a board certified diplomate of The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He graduated from The Medical College of Ohio in 1995 with honors and earned the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society Membership. During his medical school career, Dr. Heck also was awarded numerous other awards such as the Marion C. Anderson and Toledo Surgery Society Awards for his academic achievement in surgery.
After medical school, Dr. Heck then completed four years of general surgery residency training at The Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Heck had many great achievements during his time that included The Outstanding Surgery Resident Award and The Golden Apple Resident Award for his excellence in teaching surgery.
Dr. Heck then spent two years at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in his plastic surgery residency. This is when Dr. Heck was granted the prestigious and highly competitive Aesthetic and Breast fellowship in Los Angeles. Dr. Heck is one of a select few fellowship trained aesthetic surgeons. Dr. Heck trained under the direction of renowned surgeon Dr. W. Grant Stevens, M.D., F.A.C.S. where he refined his skills in aesthetic surgery and learned many cutting edge skills such as the Laser Bra which is a new and long-lasting way to reduce or lift the breasts. During his fellowship and after, Dr. Heck has authored many articles on cosmetic and breast surgery in the most well respected journals in plastic surgery.
In 2002, Dr. Heck found an ideal setting for his expert skills at Columbus Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Inc. His practice has seen amazing growth since that time. In 2004, Dr. Heck won The Prism Award for his excellence in breast surgery.
One of the greatest aspects of Dr. Heck's profession is the boost in self esteem and self confidence his patients get after cosmetic surgery. The delicate nature of plastic surgery and Dr. Heck's attention to detail are a perfect match. Dr. Heck was named one of America's top plastic surgeons in 2006 by The Strathmore Group. Dr. Heck along with his partners, are involved in many charitable organizations and devote much of his time to the treatment and cure of breast cancer.
